Suntory Whisky - Autodesk Maya
I created a 3D model of a bottle of Japanese whisky, a glass, and an ice cube as a material test study, aiming to push the limits of realism. Starting with research on whisky bottle designs, I modeled both the bottle and glass in Maya, focusing on details like the label and glass curvature. I textured everything directly in Maya, applying realistic glass and liquid shaders that captured light refraction and reflections. Fine-tuning the lighting setup further showcased the whisky’s rich color, the glass’s clarity, and the ice cube’s translucence, resulting in a strikingly lifelike representation that deepened my understanding of material interactions in 3D.
